Alex grew up an athlete, playing and competing in sports through her freshman year of college. After she stopped playing sports, she started to notice unhealthy habits emerge. At the end of her senior year, she knew she needed to make a change not only for her health but her self-esteem. She started going to the gym again and tried every diet out there, desperately wanting to lose the pounds she had put on... this number is unknown because she didn't step on the scale for over a year out of total fear and denial. This started a frustrating and exhausting cycle. Years spent dieting, avoiding, binging, trying to out work her diet... just to gain it all back. It felt like a lost cause. Until, she discovered counting macros. This way of eating sounded almost too good to be true... you can eat what you want, lose body fat and get stronger, so long as the food fits in your 'macros?'
Counting macros has taught Alex how to give her body what it needs to thrive. It's taught her to care less about her body composition and more about how her body performs on a day to day basis. For the first time in many, many years Alex is living her life free of guilt, worry and fear when it comes to food and eating certain food groups (carbs!). She has made it her goal to share and educate others so that they don't have to stop doing the things they love to get the results they crave.
Alex lives in Charlotte, NC. Her background is in sport psychology. Her passion is helping people develop the skills they need so they can unlock their potential and achieve lifelong results!
